Summary
Utilizing a light service fleet vehicle, promptly and professionally responds to requests for Emergency Road Service and provides mechanical assistance as necessary.

Duties
(Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned)
Provides prompt and efficient ERS to include services such as jump starts, tire changes, battery sales and replacement, fuel delivery, lock bypass entry, winching and general troubleshooting of disabled vehicles.

Determines when a vehicle needs to be towed or when it can safely be operated.

Answers questions and interprets policy regarding service guidelines. Provides recommendations for approved repair and answers questions on other club service, cross-recommending wherever appropriate.

Ensures customer and vehicle safety at all times.

Takes appropriate action to deal with customers’ emotional state, providing reassurance and advice in addition to dealing with the technical aspects of the situation.

Completes all required paperwork in relation to prescribed duties including any applicable logs, inspections or reports as legally or otherwise required.

Physical
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to drive, enter and exit the assigned vehicle on a frequent basis. The employee frequently is required to use hand, fingers and arms. The individual is required to lift moderate equipment (60 lbs or more) and accessories under awkward conditions in potentially dangerous environments.
Environment
Ability to function well under extreme weather conditions including heat, cold, ice, snow, rain sleet, hail, flooding and other elements. Ability to work under pressure during periods of high volume. The noise level in the work environment may become loud. The nature of work will expose the individual to occasional exhaust fumes, fuel fumes and other things commensurate with vehicle and truck operations. The individual will need to work in awkward positions, including sliding under cars, reaching, stooping, bending and kneeling on a regular basis.
