BUFFALO, NY, JUNE 25, 2008 – AAA Western and Central New York celebrated the opening of AAA Car Care Plus® today with an official ribbon cutting ceremony in Eggertsville. AAA Car Care Plus is the first AAA-owned and operated auto repair facility and maintenance center in Western New York, and will provide full repair and routine servicing for members and the motoring public by AAA-trained and expert ASE-certified technicians.

“AAA Car Care Plus serves as a natural extension of AAA’s nearly 100 years of providing reliable roadside assistance to members,” said Tom Chestnut, President/CEO of AAA Western and Central New York. “Motorists in Western New York will now benefit from a complete service loop, from breakdown to repair to back on the road and on the go; all while helping the local economy.”

The opening of AAA Car Care Plus has contributed to the revitalization of the economically distressed area of Eggertsville by creating ten new jobs and rehabilitating an old dilapidated building that had been vacant since 2003.

Study after study reveals that consumers find automotive repair and maintenance stressful. Additionally, the Office of the New York State Attorney General reports that auto-related complaints, including car repair, rank third in statewide consumer complaints.

“We’re providing a great choice for quality auto repair,” said Jeff Damude, Director of AAA Car Care Plus. “Car Care Plus eliminates the hassle and confusion of automotive repairs by taking a transparent approach to auto repair; offering reliable and professional service from a trusted name.”

AAA Car Care Plus is the larger of only two AAA-owned repair facilities in New York State, the other located in Oneonta.

AAA Car Care Plus houses ten service bays, including a special bay where customers can safely view the analysis of their vehicle’s brake, alignment, and suspension testing by the acclaimed, Hunter B-400 Inspection Lane. Upon completion, service advisors thoroughly review the results with each customer, answering questions and providing recommendations based on the results.

Other services provided by AAA Car Care Plus include fluid changes, brake work and replacement, suspension and realignment, air conditioning/cooling system maintenance, tire services, electrical system work, and safety inspections. Services do not include collision, paint, or body work.

AAA members benefit from a 24-month/24,000-mile warranty on parts and labor, and complimentary vehicle report card and diagnostic check of brakes, alignment and suspension with each visit and will be able to take advantage of special rates. Nonmembers will enjoy competitive labor rates and have the option of joining AAA at the facility to receive on-the-spot discounts and special offers.

AAA Car Care Plus hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call (716) 362-0562 or visit www.AAA.com/CarCarePlus.
