ROCHESTER, NY, June 24, 2008 -- AAA Western and Central New York will recognize the unsung heroes of the school year - Adult School Crossing Guards - at AAA’s Annual Crossing Guard Recognition Breakfast.

Who: AAA and guest speaker, Monroe County Executive Maggie Brooks, will honor more than 125 Adult School Crossing Guards for their commitment to school and traffic safety. A number of local political and law enforcement leaders will also be present.
Why: You see them at their posts every day of the school year – in the wind, rain, snow and sun. Their mission: To help our children get to and from school safely.
The Town of Irondequoit and Village of Brockport will also be recognized for their success in AAA’s Community Traffic Safety Program.
